Professional & personal worlds colliding in a prized collection of stories.

For as long as I’ve known him, Kipling Knox has been a writer and creator. In my eyes, he’s held these titles forever, because, well, he’s my dad.

We’ve collaborated on several projects over the years — but our most recent was particularly special.

Several months before the book was set to be released, we discussed the inspiration and themes woven throughout the stories, the feeling we wanted the cover to evoke, and what we felt made a book cover stand out when seen across the room, on a shelf, or in the hands of a stranger.

The result — a design inspired by the dark night sky unique to the midwest, the subtle, slightly-off nature of many of the scenes, and the simple & bold style of book covers of the 60s.
